Phase II

The Foundation has initiated its Dream Project “GURUKUL: An Independent Beginning”. Gurukul will be a residential facility geared to support and strengthen the special ones, with approximate 20000 sq. ft. construction on 1 Acre Land in the vicinity of Pune City. It will hold the capacity to house about 50 candidates with requisite caretakers.

The facility will comprise:

• Residential Arrangement with food, close to regular schools and colleges
• Vocational Training Centre
• Medical Care Unit, Pre and Post-Operative Care Unit, Recovery Room
• Physiotherapy, Gymnasium and Yoga Unit
• Prosthetic Limb Manufacturing Unit
• Recreational facilities including Swimming, Music, Dance, Drama, Art and Craft
• Library (including Brail), Auditorium, Music Room, Computer Lab and Audio Room (Hearing Impaired)
• Horticulture, Solar Driven Projects, Water Recycling and Bio Gas Energy
• Exposure to Natural Environment with a Green Campus

For severely disabled persons – various income generating projects on the campus will be initiated to make them self-reliant and lead a dignified life.
