Background and Admission

Enrolled with Make My Dream Foundation in 2011, Irfan is from Parvati, Pune. At the time of his admission to Make My Dream Foundation, he had completed his 10th standard. He has Polio which affects both lower limbs.

Journey and Achievements

1. Academic and Skills Development:
   • Diploma in Commercial Art: Irfan successfully completed his Diploma in Commercial Arts.
   • Skills Enhancement: He participated in skills development programs, including spoken English and harmonium, which significantly improved his communication skills and musical skills.
2. Support Programs and Activities:
   • Financial Support: We have provided full financial support for his diploma program throughout all five years.
   • Mobility Support: We have provided him with the modified Activa motorbike, which has improved his mobility! Customizing vehicles to better meet individual needs can make a big difference in someone’s quality of life. 
   • Personality Development Sessions: Actively engaged in sessions aimed at enhancing his personal and professional skills.
   • Visits and Camps: Took part in visits to NGOs, health check-up camps, and drawing competitions, showing notable progress in each.
   • Trekking Expeditions: Completed challenging trekking expeditions on Rajmachi Fort and Sinhgad Fort, demonstrating his resilience and adventurous spirit.
3. Awards and Recognition:
   • Best Artist Award (2012-2013): Honoured with this award for his outstanding artist excellence.
   • Best Self-reliance Award (2014-2015): Honoured with this award for his outstanding financial independence and self-dignity.
   • Best Dedication Towards Aim Award (2013-2014): Honoured with this award for his outstanding commitment and dedication.
   • Drawing Competition 2017: He won a consolation prize in a drawing competition organized by Make My Dream Foundation.
   • Orchestra Team Member: An active participant in our orchestra team, contributing to our annual gatherings.
   • Special Mention: He was honoured with few awards from society and interviewed on Akashwani radio for his success story. 
4. Current Endeavours:
   • Self-Reliant: Irfan is freelancing in design and printing while also operating his own rickshaw for public transportation.
5. Strength and Opportunity: 
   • Irfan is a truly inspiring individual with a strong sense of dedication and resilience.
   • Despite the physical challenge, he completed his education with his unwavering determination and commitment.      
   • He is responsible, committed, and kind-hearted. He enjoys learning from his own experiences, forming his own opinions, and setting examples. With strong leadership qualities that require proper direction, he has significant potential to learn and acquire new skills.   
   • He has acquired the vision of Make My Dream Foundation’s “Earn and Learn” program. He earned both self-respect and dignity.
   • His enthusiasm for adventurous activities like trekking demonstrates a willingness to embrace and overcome difficulties, a trait that is valuable for both personal and professional growth. 
   • His acceptance to learn about values, principles, morals and intellectual growth indicates a deep interest in personal development and well-rounded approach in life. 
   • He integrates well in different social settings.
   • He is aware of the positive impact of Make My Dream Foundation’s vision and makes an effort to incorporate it into his own life and share it with the public whenever he has the opportunity.
