Ms. Medha Kulkarni
Chairman
Ms Medha Kulkarni, Chairman of Make My Dream Foundation, is the chief founder trustee since inception. She completed her dream by establishing Make My Dream Foundation and offered opportunities to many more fellow sufferers to fulfill their dream. She is suffering from congenital ailment, although that has never become a hurdle in her life achievements.
She completed her graduation in commerce faculty in 1984. After that she joined the Central Bank of India in 1985 by clearing competitive examinations. She completed C.A.I.I.B. during 1990 to 1993 and simultaneously completed Advanced Diploma in Japanese Language from Pune University. She has secured 3rd level (Sankkyu) of Japanese Proficiency Level Examination. She did translation, interpretation work for a few years along with her bank job.
Ms. Medha is nature lover, trekker and world traveler. Reading Marathi literature is her hobby.
To pursue own dream and with an urge of working for fellow sufferers, she left the bank job in 2008 after completing 23 years of service. She established Make My Dream Foundation on 27th March, 2009.
Medha is completely committed, philanthropic and fully devoted to the work of the foundation. With her passion and dedication, the foundation has reached to this stage and truly been able to make a difference in so many children’s lives. Her work has been recognized with several awards and felicitations.
Mr. Gajanan Kulkarni
Secretary
Mr. Gajanan Kulkarni, the Secretary of Make My Dream Foundation, has been a founder trustee since the foundation’s inception. As the younger brother of Ms. Medha Kulkarni, he has wholeheartedly supported the foundation’s cause.
Professionally, Mr. Gajanan is a Commercial Artist. He completed his Diploma in Fine Arts in 1988 and also earned a Diploma in French Language from Pune University in 1992.
Mr. Gajanan runs his own designing firm, G’nius Grafiks, and is also involved in G’nius Financial Services, which offers various investment solutions.
An outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Gajanan has completed numerous trekking expeditions in the Sahyadri and Himalayas and undertook a bike trek to Leh and Ladakh. He has a passion for nature photography and enjoys playing tennis.
From the foundation’s early days, Mr. Gajanan has worked closely with Ms. Medha to establish and grow the Make My Dream Foundation. His dedication to the foundation is evident in his involvement with its design and printing needs, as well as his secretarial duties. His commitment has been instrumental in shaping the foundation and advancing its mission.
Mrs. Aparna Kulkarni
Trustee
Mrs. Aparna Kulkarni has been a dedicated founder trustee of Make My Dream Foundation since its inception, contributing wholeheartedly to the organization’s mission. She is the sister-in-law of Ms. Medha Kulkarni and has been an invaluable supporter of the cause.
Professionally, Mrs. Aparna is a Commercial Artist and Investment Consultant. She completed her Diploma in Fine Arts in 1990 and is a partner in G’nius Grafiks. Her creative nature shines through in her work as she specializes in painting and sketching.
In addition to her artistic contributions, Mrs. Aparna manages the planning department at Make My Dream Foundation. Her role involves overseeing strategic planning and ensuring that the foundation’s projects and initiatives align with its goals. Her expertise in design and her meticulous planning have been invaluable to the foundation’s growth and effectiveness.
Her artistic talents have greatly benefited the Make My Dream Foundation. From the beginning, Mrs. Aparna has played a crucial role, bringing her creative expertise to the foundation’s design and printing tasks. Her contributions in these areas, combined with her trusteeship, have been essential to the foundation’s success.
Mrs. Preeti Sowani
Treasurer
Mrs. Preeti Sowani has been serving as the Treasurer of Make My Dream Foundation since 2022. With a robust background in finance and insurance, she brings a wealth of experience to her role.
Mrs. Sowani completed her Bachelor of Commerce from BMCC, Pune and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. She began her career in the insurance industry in 1988, holding various roles in Investment, Finance and Accounts, and Underwriting of mega risks at United India Insurance Co Ltd, both in Pune and Mumbai. Notably, while based in Mumbai, she served as Chief Manager, where she played a key role in managing the ONGC account and was part of the team that placed the ONGC account in the London market. After 33 years of dedicated service, she opted for the Voluntary Retirement Scheme in 2021.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Sowani enjoys reading, gardening, and painting, reflecting her diverse interests and creative side. In her role as Treasurer, Mrs. Sowani has shown unwavering dedication, ensuring that the foundation’s financial operations are handled with precision and integrity.
Dr. Jeevan Ladi
Trustee
Dr Jeevan Ladi has been serving as Trustee (Projects) at Make My Dream Foundation since 2022. He is also the Director of Dada Laser Eye Institute in Pune, and holds impressive credentials, including an MS (Gold Medal), DOMS, and DNB.
Dr Ladi has held prominent positions such as:
- President of the Maharashtra & Poona Ophthalmological Society
- Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the State Society
- Executive Trustee of the Poona District Society
His career is marked by numerous accolades. In addition to these honors, Dr Ladi has many peer-reviewed publications and holds three copyrighted innovations, underscoring his significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology.
As Trustee (Projects) at Make My Dream Foundation, he leverages his extensive expertise to guide and enhance the foundation's initiatives, ensuring impactful and successful project outcomes.
